AuroraOur ServicesHome Automation on Long Island
Lighting, shades, climate and music working as one system, so the house sets itself for morning, evening and away.
Scenes Tuned in Person
We set each one in the room, at the time of day it will be used.
Whisper-Quiet Shades
They lower before the afternoon glare and close every room at night.
Custom-Engraved Keypads
A few clearly labeled buttons in place of rows of switches.
Light That Follows the Sun
Schedules that track sunrise and sunset through the seasons, with no timers to reset.
Questions
Can home automation be added to an existing home?
Yes. Wireless lighting control, battery-powered shades and modern networking let us automate a finished home with little or no wall work.
Which smart home platform is best?
It depends on how you live. Lutron HomeWorks, Savant and Control4 each have strengths, and they can work together. We recommend a platform after a consultation.
When should I plan home automation in a new build?
As early as possible, ideally during design. Wiring, shade pockets and equipment space cost far less to plan before construction than to add later.
What does lighting control do?
It replaces rows of switches with a few engraved keypads, and one press sets a whole room. Lights can fade on at sunset, dim along the path to the bedrooms at night and switch off when you leave.
